We just wrapped up S.E.W. - a big youth conference for all the New Tribes MKs. We had 11 people from Hume Lake, CA leading the weekend for the kids. I think it was an eye-opening and growing experience for absolutely everyone! For my part, I was the "Point Person" for this conference... a big step for me. This meant that whenever anybody needed anything, they came to me. It was mostly taking care of little things, like finding tacks so they could hang up posters/banners, getting the guys to bring them a ladder or change the batteries in a fire alarm, and answering lots of questions. I also did the Welcome presentation again, gave a campus tour, and did occasional announcements at meals. Good stuff! It's funny to think that I used to HATE speaking in front of people, and now I'm doing it regularly. You gotta love how God just keeps stretching you when you trust Him with your plans.
Here a couple of pics that the Hume Lake people took of the weekend and I stole from them. They are beautiful shots of some things I get to see every day.
The road to ITF - No joke, I get car sick on this road every time. Meh.
The Classroom - where we have church, classes during programs, and to the left there is where we have our campfire cookouts on Friday nights.

Recreation time

And so ends our crazy conference season. *Sigh* Now we all have a little break... and time to prepare for the first Interface team that arrives in January! I CAN'T WAIT! I've already started working on the class schedule. I'm so excited to see how God is going to work in the hearts of the new students. I hope they are instilled with the same fresh passion for God that my team was!
