Much to be Thankful for

After a few months of living in Florida, it’s finally starting to feel like home. In all honestly it’s been a tough adjustment for me, but I am beginning to appreciate life here a little bit more. That is due in large part to the new friendships that I’ve made. My apartment has become the hang-out spot for a great group of kids who I thoroughly enjoy hosting. (Hopefully they aren’t offended that I call them kids).

A typical Saturday night at my house:

One awesome thing about living at the NTM Mission is getting the opportunity to see missionaries I've met overseas who are passing through. In November my good friend Beth from Interface was here with her brand new husband on their honeymoon! It was such an encouragement to see Beth again, meet the man I've heard so much about over the last year, & to reminisce about our experiences in PNG together.A couple of weeks ago my Bible Study group said goodbye to one of our gang who is heading over to PNG to start his ministry in the Madang Region. We had dinner together at a Colombian restaurant to send him off. Good Luck Joe!

My job is going well too! We are sending our first Interface team to PNG in a few weeks. My coworker Kara is going to be leading that group over there. Be sure to keep them in your prayers… for safe travel, that they will be challenged & that they will have a fantastic experience while in PNG.

I am So So Thankful that I was able to go home to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving with my family. It was the first time in YEARS that all of my sisters & I have been together. While it was a pretty hectic few days, it was wonderful to be with my family for a holiday. I missed that a lot last year while in PNG. Most of the leaves were missing from the trees and the air was quite cold, dropping into the 30’s… the first time I’ve felt the chilly WI wind in almost 2 years. I loved it!

We took the opportunity to get family portraits taken, and of course, to goof around like only sisters can!

This last one is me & my favorite Niece! :) I'm so blessed!
